Alexander Steffen is Director of Medical & Pharma Solutions at User Interface Design GmbH. His main focus is on the user-centered design of medical devices as well as the risk analysis and the documentation of the development process according to DIN EN 62366.
Before he started his career with UID, he worked as a project manager at several companies and institutes: Sciencia (Gesellschaft für Forschung im Gesundheitswesen), Institute of Medical Psychology (IMP) in Munich as personal assistant of Prof. Ernst Pöppel and one of the leading German market research institutes "Gesellschaft für Innovative Marktforschung".
He is co-editor of the loose-leaf collection Medizinprodukte planen, entwickeln, realisieren – der CE-Routenplaner and has published several other papers. He is certified "Expert Quality Management Medical Devices International (TÜV)" for quality management and risk management as well as for the approval of medical devices.
Aleksandar Stojanovic is Managing Director of digital agency Razorfish Healthware (until August 2012: Publicis Healthware International). He oversees the business region Germany.
Prior to Razorfish Healthware he founded Digital District in 2002 - a Dusseldorf, Germany based internet agency. Digital District got aquired by Publicis Group in 2010. Since then, Aleksandar specialises on communications strategies in Healthcare.
Prior to Razorfish Healthware and Digital District Aleksander Stojanovic had been with DDB Group and consulting angency NorCom.
As User Experience Director at Digitas Health, Angel drives the direction of the experience design for a range of clients in the healthcare sector. She has 15 years’ experience working with many large organisations to show them how best to embed new digital tools into their business. Over that time she has delivered the full portfolio of UX research and deliverables for a wide range of brand and corporate clients in Europe including Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, The Body Shop, O2, CERN, Unesco, Renault and Transport for London and has won various awards for her work (BIMA, DBA, IVCA). Her areas of specialism include service design and customer journey mapping. Angel secretly believes that she invented wireframes.
Angel is a committee member of the London School of Economics Media Group where she has produced many events on digital issues. She also regularly speaks at events such as DrupalCon, and the many sponsored by the UK Usability Professionals Association (UXPA). She is the first UX person to participate as a judge in the Clio Healthcare Awards this year.
Mark A.M. Kramer
Mark A.M. Kramer is active in the Mobile Tech Scene as a Nomadic Researcher and Co-Founder of Mobile Monday in Austria. Mark served in the US Air Force as a Surgical Technician and Medic during the first Gulf War and continued to work in medicine for a total of 12 years until he moved to Austria. In 2003 Mark joined The Center for Advanced Studies and Research in Information and Communication Technologies & Society (ICT&S Center) as a Research Fellow at the University of Salzburg. At the ICT&S Center Mark was active in Mobile Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Community conducting his doctoral research within the general field of mobile-learning, concentrating on applying mobile technologies to enhance personal and cooperative learning communities.
Currently, Mark is teaching a Seminar on Mobile Health at the University of Applied Sciences of Upper Austria at Hagenberg in the Mobile Computing Department where he brings his medical experience into focus with his students in shaping and developing mobile applications for Healthcare.
Mark was diagnosed in 2011 with Hodgkins Lyphoma and actively used his medical challenge as a anthropological field-experience to conduct personal research as an ePatient. Presently, Mark is in remission, developing strategies to improve healthcare delivery and communication through enhanced mHealth user experiences.

Martje van der Linde
Martje van der Linde is the Research Director of User Intelligence. User Intelligence is an international user experience consultancy agency that offers great customer experiences for their clients, by providing research and design services.
Martje's role as Research Director is to lead the Research and Analytics team and develop the teams quality, skills and knowledge. The team's focus is shifting more and more towards the healthcare industry. The coming years, she aims to put User Intelligences 10+ years of user centered design experience at work for this industry.
Martje is dedicated to make users have happier, more satisfying and easier experiences with (medical) products. She enjoys to deliver those experiences based on a firm and factbased understanding of users' needs and motivations. Contextmapping, customer journeys, diary studies, service design but also quantitative user testing are within her area of specialism.
Dr. Jones is the author of Design for Care: Innovations in Healthcare Experience, the first book to connect designers to care practices (designforcare.com), published by Rosenfeld Media in fall 2012.
He is associate professor at Toronto’s largest design school, OCAD University, and teaches in the Strategic Foresight and Innovation graduate program. Peter has designed some of the market-leading information services in scientific, legal, and medical practice. He founded and leads Redesign, an innovation research firm that leads design and research for advanced tools for thinking, focusing in the advancement of knowledge media and practices.
A working member of the global systems community (board member of the Agoras Institute) he helps organizations manage strategic change and innovation in the social systems method of dialogic design.

Rod is Co-Founder and Director of Research and Strategy of Mobile Experience. Over the past 10 years, he has consulted to many of Australia's Tier 1 organisations on their customer experience and multi-device strategy, across areas as diverse as: Healthcare, Finance, Media, Education, Telecommunications, Travel, and Emerging Technologies. Rod has led the design and delivery of several award winning 1ft, 2ft, and 10ft services, and has designed hundreds of products across all major platforms mobile devices.
Author, speaker and mentor on UX and Mobile, Rod was recently appointed to the Australian International Design Council and is currently writing for a book on multi-device user experience.

Steven is a designer, educator and entrepreneur focused on digital innovation that improves people’s lives. His dual passions for reason and art have manifested themselves in a career built upon studying the relationship between science and design. Dedicated to the field of health and wellness, Steven’s major areas of study and development are in health care innovation and design’s effect on behavior change.
Steven employs his multifaceted expertise in a variety of ways. He is a frequent lecturer at NYU and Parsons on the topics of health as it relates to design and the DIY movement as well as the impacts of technology and design on individual and societal behavior. He is a partner at Prehype, an innovation firm dedicated to incubating digital businesses for corporations and also serves as a principal at G51 Studio, where he works with wellness companies to improve product design and overall user experience.
Steven is also a mentor at Blueprint Health, an organization dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs to forge positive change in the health and wellness industry. He is writing a book for O’Reilly Media on the Quantified Self and behavior change. Steven holds a BS in Mathematics from Baylor University and an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design.

Sylvain Cottong is an expert in innovation management, service design, user experience design, new marketing, knowledge management and so much more. He is the founder of projetspublics.
Throughout his career, Sylvain, who is economist by education, has worked at the crossroads of economics, society, culture & technology. As an early Internet evangelist, he has been advising governments & companies on strategies for the networked society.
After having spent some time in the User Experience Design community, he then started to be involved and interested in strategic planning, innovation management, service design & design thinking, social & public sector innovation, social technologies and the future of work.
He lives in Luxembourg - but travels frequently around the world to speak at conferences all over the place.

Wiebke Lesch is a health marketing strategist with many years of experience in creating human-centered innovations for health.
She runs her own consulting practice Lesch Strategische Kommunikation where she advises hospitals, research institutions and government projects on their communication and innovation strategy.
Clients include Charité, German Heart Institute Berlin and government funded Competence Networks in Medicine. In her work Wiebke focusses on synthesizing research, strategy and design efforts in order to create products and services for positive change. She is also Co-founder and Editor-in-chief of the European network Corience which is a Health 2.0 platform connecting patients, doctors, scientists and health professionals in the field of congenital cardiac diseases.
